What is a digital X-ray?
 

Instead of traditional X-ray film, digital X-rays use electronic sensors to capture images. The system then saves and displays your images instantly on a computer.

 

This technology completely eliminates the need to process film and does not require the disposal of environmentally harmful chemicals and waste products. Digital X-rays reduce patient exposure to radiation by up to 90% compared to traditional X-rays.

 

Who needs digital X-rays?

Digital X-rays help your dentist diagnose and create customized treatment plans by showing information not visible during a regular dental exam. Digital X-rays can show what’s happening between teeth, under the gums, and in the jaw. Without X-rays, dental issues can go undetected until they become a larger problem.
